Is a damp ceiling dangerous?
A wet ceiling can weaken plaster and, in severe cases, lead to collapse, so it's worth acting quickly. More commonly it leads to mould and damaged decoration. We make the area safe, find the source and put it right.
Why is my ceiling damp with no obvious leak?
Condensation in a cold, poorly ventilated loft can soak a ceiling without any ‘leak’ at all, as can a slow roof or flashing defect that only shows in driving rain. Our survey identifies which it is.
